Partnerships & Strategic Alliances Manager (Netherlands)

Permanent, Full-time

Your new company

Cronofy delivers the world's most powerful scheduling technology. We are used by tens of thousands of businesses to support high-performance teams and the complex scheduling requirements they have.

Our White-Label API powers scheduling in hundreds of SaaS applications. If you book online appointments through GoDaddy, if you schedule an interview on Indeed, if you book a designer on Houzz, you are using Cronofy under the hood.

Our relentless focus on performance, security and reliability has made us the market leader in scheduling infrastructure. Being a European vendor is a real strength when it comes to addressing the inevitable data privacy and compliance concerns around processing calendar data.

We are now successfully pursuing a partnership strategy where customers buy Cronofy directly and plug it into the applications they are already using. Our initial focus has been on partnering with recruiting software like SmartRecruiters, Greenhouse, Lever and BambooHR to supercharge their native scheduling capabilities but we don’t want to stop there.

We’ve proven the approach enough to know that we need to find someone to take complete ownership for the partner relationships and drive success for both sides.

Note: We are looking for a Partnerships & Strategic Alliances Manager to join us in the UK or Netherlands.

The role

We are seeking an experienced Partnership & Strategic Alliances Manager to join our Go-To-Market team. You will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with existing and new partners, and play a key role in driving strategic partnerships to accelerate growth and maximise market reach.

To be successful in this role you will develop an intimate understanding of both the needs and drivers of our customers and vendor partners and how Cronofy delivers value against them. You will be responsible for developing, implementing & delegating partner initiatives to elevate and improve collaboration with our key partners. With this you’ll be establishing relationships with the internal marketing team and making sure we can provide what the partners need.

You will be used to exploring ways to improve and enhance our relationship with partners to help create greater brand awareness, and drive more referrals, and revenue, from joint initiatives. You will have a deep understanding of their customers and prospects or members for vendor partners.

Scheduling is a complex problem space with many sector and function-specific nuances. Our customers use our technology to support a range of use cases across multiple sectors. You will need to look for joint partner initiatives, sales enablement and insights to help embed and improve relationships to increase referrals and brand recognition.

Your responsibilities

  • Develop and implement partner marketing strategies and campaigns to drive awareness, engagement and revenue growth
  • Ownership of positioning, enhancing and managing our partner relationships with particular focus on Greenhouse, Lever, BambooHR and SmartRecruiters
  • Develop intimate knowledge of customer partner marketplaces, how referrals are handled, sales enablement, as well as creative initiatives to increase brand awareness and integration with our customer partners
  • Planning and executing a partner go-to-market strategy that results in increased referrals and demo requests, revenue growth and customer adoption rates
  • Creating and delegating a wide range of marketing content, including sales collateral, product videos, blog posts, web pages and case studies.

This role is part of our Sales team, and reports to the Head of Sales. Your success will be measured on new partner accounts, and we expect that you will add 2-3 new customers per partner per month, generating approximately $500K revenue in your first 18 months.

How you’ll work

We expect you to:

  • Be confident in managing and developing product positioning and messaging specifically for partners
  • Be partner and customer-centric, able to understand partners and their customers’ needs, and use all channels and tactics available to reach and resonate with target audiences
  • Be adaptable to the different types of partner relationships and alliances to help cement a relationship that adds value to the customers or members of the partner
  • Be flexible in the way you work and ability to travel when needed (we do expect this role will spend time visiting partners in Europe and, at times, the US)
  • Influence stakeholders and peers at all levels of the organisation

About you

  • Proven track record of successfully developing and implementing a partner strategy and campaigns in an existing B2B SaaS company. It’s essential that the successful hire has performed this role in a similar organisation before
  • Strategic thinking that understands how industry trends and the competitive landscape help to inform product positioning
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to build and maintain partner relationships
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey partner value propositions, both internally and externally, as well as to the partners and their customers or members
  • Proficient in data analysis and the ability to translate data into actionable insights to drive marketing decisions
  • Meticulous in your attention to detail and proactive in your approach
  • Ability to work autonomously, take ownership of projects, and meet deadlines or targets

How we work

Our principles guide how we approach every day. New members of the team are often surprised how truly we do this.

We are a customer-focused business - whether that’s sales, marketing or product design.

Our Sales team is small, so prioritization of time and resources is critical.

We work hard but insist that everyone considers the balance between work and their life and responsibilities outside. We are direct in our dealings with each other. We continuously work to build mutual trust so that we can give each other feedback without fear of it being taken personally.

We can support a predominantly remote, office-based, or hybrid working model. We do really value face-to-face time and, where circumstances allow, encourage teams to spend regular time together at suitable locations. Our Sales team currently cover the UK and Amsterdam, and for this reason we are open to considering applicants in either the UK or Netherlands.

Hiring process

The goal is to discover what you will bring to Cronofy and what Cronofy will bring to you. It’s as important for you to determine whether this is the right move for your career as much as anything else, so don’t be afraid to ask questions. We value transparency and so are happy to answer (virtually) any questions you may have.
